June!!! Bloody June! I can’t believe it’s so close to June already. Hopefully this means nicer weather for us Aberdonians, disposable bbq’s will sell out, the burger section in supermarkets will be empty, our children will be begging us to dig out the paddling pools and Aberdeen stores will notice an increase in the sales of after sun to ease the burn of our lobster red bodies. The 30th also marks the last day of school for our adorable little cherubs so make sure you come back for my summer holiday events! Remember if you or anyone you know has organised an event or just wants to bring more awareness to something that is on in and around Aberdeen feel free to message me and I will try to include it in our little list! Anyway lets crack on and see if I can help with some suggestions of things to keep you sane and the kids entertained.
Stonehaven Feein Market – 3/06/2017
Market Square, Stonehaven
Take a trip to Stonehaven for the famous Feein market. You can expect live music & acts, stalls, games, rides of the children and delicious food. You can visit http://www.feeinmarket.org.uk/ for a full list of stall holders, you will be absolutely spoiled for choice.
Gruffalo Adventure – 3/06/2017 – 4/06/2017

Parent & Baby/Toddler Story Telling Sessions – 7/06/2017
Castle Fraser Garden & Estate
I came across this on the National Trust for Scotland website. According to their website these sessions will be on the first Wednesday of every month, the first one taking place on the 7th June. They are 40 minute sessions and begin at 9:30am, adults pay £2.00, children are free but they do recommend booking as spaces are limited! You can find the booking details here!

Bon Accord Steam & Vintage Fair – 17/6/2017-18/6/2017

On the day you can expect to see Showman’s Engines, vintage cars & motorbikes, tractors, steam rollers, ride on miniature steam engines and much more. There will also be trade and craft stalls to if you fancy some shopping.

Little Explorers Day : Technology – 24/06/2017

Describes as being suited to children ages 3-5 and lasting around 30 minutes children can participate in hands on activities, colouring and play. Going by the Aberdeen Science Center website this seems to be based around Robots and is on between 10:00am-4:00pm.
June is when alot of local schools have their fairs and galas, if your lucky enough to get some sunshine on the day they can be well worth a visit and it’s a great way to support your local schools as you will find most are fundraising for new materials and equipment!
Stonehaven Open Air Swimming Pool
Fed up of visiting the same swimming pool with the kids? Why not pay the open air pool in Stonehaven a visit. Stonehaven’s first opened its doors in June 1934! It’s open again on the 27th May although it won’t be in peak season until 1st July so make sure you head over to www.stonehavenopenairpool.co.uk to double check the open hours! They even have midnight disco swims which begin early July!
Please remember I am not responsible for these events, they are subject to change and I am simply sharing what I have found online whilst looking for things for Sophia and I to do. All details were correct at the time of posting! I am also not affiliated with any companies or event holders, It’s just things that have caught my eye and that I would attend with Sophia!
